This one was written in September I think 2014, I recorded it the following February I believe, in my bedroom when I lived by bucktown and logan square. I think Shiloh played it at a few shows. I guess it's kind of about being a drug addict or a scum bag, or some type of using person.

A fiend fans flames like the fire's shame and the smoke is names that he used to know.

Why burn bridges you can live under?
Why sink ships that still can be plundered?
Why steal stories that you can spread?
If they're in your head or from your mouth they're said they might as well be yours.

No I ain't just a last resort, I'm a common course, not your cowboys "horse."
Spores poured for steamy softcore porn, like a crown of thorns, scorns saviors more.

Thieves please lead huntin' scum police fulfill the need to break the backs of scenes and they're in your dreams only you believe that they are your friends, and you wake again to a bed of sweat and a shit eating grin then the day begins and you feel nothing till you break that skin or bust that seal or light that smoke, this ain't a fucking joke.
