Home recording I did at the Old Joy practice space and in my bedroom in Hunboldt Park. This song was inspired by the death of a close friend of mine. It's written from the point of view of a hopelessly depressed man who is ready to kill himself but wants to hang out with his favorite prostitute one more time before he goes. He starts off looking down on her and looking at how pointless her life is, but by the end of it he realizes that he is the one with the useless life.

Slow down your horrid soul. You're on a roll and it's so scary now it's beautiful
All the money in your bank, the gas that's in your tank won't take you anywhere you want to go. But I can't tell you anything you don't already know.
Like the water shapes the cliff
you wear me down to my bare bones, essential nutrients
Oh let's get out of here
Shotgun that last beer and roll on to a date with destini
I just hope she's got the bar stocked now
You're a waste of time
I'm a waste of wine
You're a waste of time
She's a waste of wine
Oh you're pretty without clothes
keep your mouth closed
cuz when you open it you ruin things
talk to me with your hands
say i'm a man
and make me scream, that's something you can do for me
it's easier than the truth (which is)
it hurts too much to care
so just be there
and smell like vanilla and lavender
I just can't give a fuck
i'm not even drunk
putting cigarettes
Shes a waste of time
I"m a waste of wine little darling
you're a waste of time
I'm a waste of wine
slow down yr horrid soul.
